Established in 1994, The Employment Project (TEP) is a nonprofit organization that is solving the problem of homelessness by providing the missing piece--employment. Operating on-site at shelters, TEP offers case management, employment preparation training and job search support to homeless persons who want to become employed. In 1999, TEP launched Community Voice Mail which offers free voice mail to homeless or phoneless adults. TEP bridges gaps in service and coordinates available services without duplication. The result is a holistic, community-based network of employment and supportive services, which help people move into the workforce and out of the streets.
