Founded in 1980 by a small group of concerned individuals, the Brain Injury Association of America has grown into the nations only not-for-profit organization working on behalf of the 5.3 million individuals living with a disability as a result of brain injury and their families. The Association assists nearly 20,000 individuals a year on its toll-free family helpline and provides grassroots support through 41 chartered state affiliates nationwide.
“Our Mission is to advance awareness, research, treatment, and education and to improve the quality of life for all affected by brain injury.”
